Imagine waking up in your comfy bed to the rhythmic chorus of exotic birds and chattering monkeys. While you perform your sun salutations in the open air yoga studio, your personal chef is preparing your breakfast with fresh fruits, homemade breads and tasty vegetarian dishes. As you sit down to eat at the large communal table, you see the beautiful art with vibrant toucans and mystical jaguars that adorn the walls. The day is filled with a variety of new experiences and more delicious food. At sunset, you find yourself relaxing in a hammock on the deck as the sky turns beautiful shades of orange and purple hues.

"Casa Nautika is a place I have had the fortune to spend a lot of time in recent years. It is a place where I can always let go of whatever mental/emotional conundrum I am in when I arrive and let time pass in a way that feels organic, structured and still somehow in complete ease. Jon has built an amazing little oasis. It is both close to a lot of outside amenities (close being relative in Costa Rica) but also far enough away to have a sense of peace. Arriving there, I always feel at home."

“Casa Nautika was great! The space has a great vibe and allows for a very calm and relaxing stay. The room was quite large with unbelievable views of the jungle and wildlife and from the front deck, views of the ocean! The shared bathroom was never a problem and the shower is absolutely amazing. The bed slept quite comfortably.

We took in a yoga class and enjoyed it thoroughly. It was nice to be down on the beach during the day and the 5-7 minute trek up to Jonathan‘s allowed for a much cooler sleep at night (way to hot/humid to stay close to the beaches!).”

“Casa Nautika feels to be a great ship nestled up against an ancient mountain land looking out at the ocean. It is tranquil and secluded environment that supports any intention that a guest would wish to pursue. There is a large deck and temple space for movement or yoga. Clean and spacious kitchen with a Vitamix and food processor! Friendly, accommodating, and loving hosts. Great for hosting retreats or just staying casually with friends/family.”

"Casa Nautika offers the ideal haven. A comfortable and welcoming atmosphere were you can wander around the many spaces and find peaceful moments alone or in groups. The views and the sounds of nature around helps you feel connected and grounded. Asja’s cooking is not only healthy and nourishing, but also stimulating because you get to taste local ingredients and preparations.

Jon’s hosting is thoughtful and warm. I felt comfortable recovering after some medicine work, and completely nurtured by love and compassion. I can’t wait to be back!"

“I stayed at Casa Nautika for 3 weeks while I was in my Yoga Teacher Training. It’s a wonderful retreat center with a great temple space that brings bright medicine for the chakras, the rooms are well kept and cozy, and it has a full kitchen with all that you need to live healthy and happy, including a Vitamix and Dehydrator. The deck out back in an incredible space to do yoga or just hang out in the sweet presence of the forest trees.

The hosts are remarkable beings that welcome you with open arms and so much love providing you with all that you need to feel welcome and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful place to hold space. And make sure you go to the rooftop to check out the soul healing ocean view sunset!"

The view, the jungle, the sounds, the smells, the animals.. are most certainly all components that make this place so very special. "Casa Nautika has become a place that I always come back to for healing, groundedness, connection, and adventure. From one season of life to the next, it’s where I am able to find myself time and again! What really makes it such an incredible place is the layers of care and intention that go into the week-long experience. The facilitators are safe and ethical, they help guide us through any new experience. Guests are nourished and fed so intentionally. We are given space to integrate alone, and also with each other. We are welcomed into a space where our stories can be heard and our shame can be left at at the door. The best part is the full immersion into nature and healing. Surrounded by the ocean, monkeys coming up to the house, toucans right outside the window, and so much more, at Casa Nautika (and the excursions we participate in) there is constant reminder of beauty and blessings."

"I worked with Jon to plan 2 week-long retreats at Casa Nautika. We chatted on the phone and by text before both retreats and he was always quick to answer all my questions with lots of details. Jon was great, and so easy to work with!

He helped me arrange all the excursions and transportation. The excursions were amazing and felt like once-in-a-lifetime adventures. During the retreat, he would check in with me each day and made sure everything was on track. He also was able to fix last-minute situations like people coming in after the retreat started."

"Casa Nautika is great, the house was clean and comfortable. Jon was accommodating in doing laundry, and even running to the store if a guest needed anything. He arranged a fabulous chef for our retreat, who was amazing and accommodated guests' food restrictions and allergies.

The best part is everyone can sit together at the dinner table, which creates a very intimate experience. All the excursions were solid. The prices were reasonable and he knows everyone in the area, so he can set up last-minute surfing lessons because he calls over and just makes it happen.
