Hola! Jonathan here! I’m super excited to welcome you to Casa Nautika and help you plan your epic retreat! Because I live here and will be your host, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself and the back story of how Casa Nautika came to be.
15 years ago, when I originally purchased my land in Costa Rica, I had zero idea what I would do with it. I only knew I wanted to live in paradise some day.
At the time, I was a teacher at a high school in New York City. I lived 9 months of the year trying to help kids stay in school, stay out of trouble and hopefully grow into responsible adults. When the closing bell would ring on the last day of school, I’d hightail it out of the concrete jungle and fly to the real jungle, back to my beloved Costa Rican town of Dominical.
Back then, I was always looking for a way to escape my life. I had a sailboat to escape the city. I had a VW bus to stay in so I could road trip around the US. And I had far less healthy ways of escaping the daily grind...processed foods, sugar, TV, and prescription drugs.
What if I created a life I didn’t need to escape from?
After beginning my own personal healing journey, releasing my addictions and beginning my music and medicine work, I finally made the big choice...and moved full time to Costa Rica, and started to build Casa Nautika.
Originally designed as a modern, luxury Airbnb, my vision of Casa Nautika continued to transform as I did. After attending yoga trainings and personal growth retreats, I realized what Casa Nautika was truly meant to be - the perfect environment for transformational leaders to share their wisdom and help others change their lives.
Casa Nautika has become a high-vibration retreat space designed to promote relaxation, personal alignment, and a sense of connection and well-being - a space is filled with light and love, adorned with sacred objects and original art, and inclusive of all modern amenities to ensure the ultimate comfort of each guest.
I absolutely love meeting and hosting people from all over the world here.
I love introducing visitors to my favorite place in the world...sharing the beaches, the waterfalls, the adventure activities, the talented healers and musicians, the food, the healing medicines and more.
Most of all, I love to witness people come to Casa Nautika, settle in, begin to de-stress and actually relax, attune to the natural beauty of the area, and create the changes they want in their lives.
